No. Private patients can generally book directly with a chiropractor without a GP referral. A referral may be required if you are attending under a Medicare Chronic Condition Management plan, DVA arrangement, workers compensation claim or another third-party funding arrangement.

Your first appointment begins with a conversation about your health history, current concerns, daily activities and what you would like help with. Your chiropractor will then complete an appropriate physical and movement assessment. They will explain what they have found, discuss whether chiropractic care may be suitable and talk you through the available options.

Treatment may be provided during your first appointment when your chiropractor considers it appropriate and you are comfortable proceeding. In some circumstances, more information, further assessment or referral may be recommended first. Treatment on the first visit is therefore not guaranteed. Where treatment is clinically appropriate during your New Patient Process, there is no additional treatment fee.

Please bring any relevant scans, reports, referral documents, medication information or details of significant previous injuries and treatment. You do not need to prepare a perfect medical history—your practitioner will guide you through the relevant questions.

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily. Depending on the area being assessed, your practitioner may ask you to adjust or remove an outer layer of clothing. Your privacy and comfort will be respected throughout the appointment.

Care is selected according to your assessment, preferences and clinical needs. It may include manual chiropractic techniques, lower-force approaches, soft-tissue techniques, dry needling where appropriate, mobility work, exercise guidance or practical advice. Not every technique is suitable or necessary for every person.

No. Chiropractic care is not limited to one technique. Tell your practitioner if you prefer a gentler or lower-force approach, do not want a particular technique or have concerns about any part of care. Your preferences form part of the clinical decision-making and consent process.

Yes. Your practitioner should explain the proposed care, relevant alternatives and any material risks before proceeding. You can ask questions, request a different approach, pause or withdraw consent at any time.

There is no single number that suits everyone. Recommendations depend on your presentation, health history, goals, response to care and relevant clinical factors. Your practitioner will explain their recommendations and review your progress rather than applying the same schedule to every patient.

No. You will receive recommendations based on your individual assessment, but you are not required to commit to a prepaid or long-term treatment plan. We want you to understand your options and participate in decisions about your care.

If your assessment suggests chiropractic care is not suitable, your practitioner will explain this and may recommend that you speak with your GP or another appropriately qualified health professional. Our priority is helping you find an appropriate next step, even when that is outside EiraForma.

Imaging is not routinely required for every patient. If your history or examination indicates that imaging may be clinically appropriate, your practitioner will explain why and refer you to an external imaging provider. Existing scans or reports may be useful, so bring them if they relate to your current concern.

Our New Patient Chiropractic Process is normally $239, with our New Patient Opening Offer currently $189 total. This takes place over two appointments: a 45-minute New Patient Consultation followed by a separate 30-minute Report of Findings. Where clinically appropriate, treatment at either appointment is included at no additional cost. $94.50 is payable when booking, with the remaining $94.50 payable at your second appointment. Ongoing appointment pricing is available at request.

Chiropractic and remedial massage may be claimable when included in your private health insurance extras cover. Eligibility and rebate amounts depend on your individual policy. Check directly with your health fund before attending.

Chiropractic is not ordinarily covered by Medicare for private appointments. Eligible patients with a chronic condition may be able to access a Medicare rebate for a limited number of allied-health services under a GP-managed Chronic Condition Management plan. Speak with your GP about eligibility before booking.

Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a fee equal to 50% of the scheduled appointment fee. Appointments not attended without prior notice (no-shows) may incur a fee equal to 100% of the scheduled appointment fee. Cancellation fees may be waived at the chiropractor’s discretion in cases of genuine illness, emergencies or other exceptional circumstances.

EiraForma is being developed as a multidisciplinary clinic offering chiropractic care, remedial massage and selected recovery services. These may include shockwave therapy and dry needling where clinically appropriate. Service availability may vary during the initial launch period, so check the Services or Bookings page for current availability.

Pregnancy chiropractic appointments focus on musculoskeletal concerns, movement and physical comfort during pregnancy and the postnatal period. Assessment, positioning and any care provided are adapted to the individual. Your practitioner will explain whether chiropractic care is suitable for your particular circumstances.

Paediatric chiropractic is currently listed as coming soon. Please register your interest with EiraForma for updates; paediatric appointments are not currently available to book.

Some people may receive care from more than one practitioner when this is clinically appropriate and consistent with their preferences. Any coordinated care should be based on individual assessment rather than automatically combining services.

Your Report of Findings is a separate 30-minute second appointment following your New Patient Consultation. Your chiropractor will explain the findings from your assessment, answer your questions and discuss recommendations and next steps with you. Where clinically appropriate, treatment at this appointment is also included as part of your New Patient Process at no additional cost.

Not necessarily. Suitability depends on your health history, current presentation and individual risk factors. Your chiropractor will assess you before recommending care and may modify the approach, request further information or refer you elsewhere when appropriate.

All healthcare interventions can involve potential risks and side effects. These depend on the technique used and the person receiving care. Your practitioner will explain relevant risks, expected responses, alternatives and the option of no treatment before seeking your consent.

Tell your practitioner about relevant medical conditions, medications, pregnancy, recent injuries or surgery, osteoporosis, joint conditions, bleeding risks, blood-thinning medication and any significant change in your symptoms. This information helps your practitioner assess whether care is appropriate.
