The EiraForma Approach

A Considered Approach to Care

A Considered Approach to Care

We start by understanding the person, not simply the problem they arrived with. Assessment, clear communication and individual goals help guide recommendations that are practical, appropriate and relevant to everyday life.

Care Starts With Understanding

Before recommending care, we take time to understand what has brought you in and what you would like to achieve. That includes listening to your health history, current concerns, activity, work, lifestyle and previous experiences with care.

Your goals matter too. For one person that might mean returning to sport. For another it might be moving more comfortably at work, keeping up with family, gardening, travelling or simply feeling more confident in everyday movement. Understanding the context helps us decide what is worth assessing and what may be useful next.

Recommendations are based on the individual assessment rather than a predetermined treatment schedule. If something falls outside our scope, needs further investigation or would be better managed with another practitioner, we will discuss the appropriate next step with you.

What Your Care Journey May Involve

1. Listen

We begin with a conversation about what brought you in, what has changed, what matters to you and what you would like to get back to, maintain or better understand.

2. Assess

Your chiropractor will select an assessment based on your presentation and history. This may include relevant movement, physical or clinical examination where appropriate.

3. Explain

We explain what we have found in plain language, including uncertainty where it exists, and talk through the available options, expected next steps and any relevant considerations.

4. Plan

If care is appropriate, we agree on a plan that considers your goals, preferences, daily life and clinical presentation. No two plans need to look exactly the same.

5. Review

Progress is reviewed as you go. Recommendations can change, reduce, finish or lead to referral depending on your response, circumstances and what is most appropriate at the time.

What Guides Our Approach

Listen First

Good care starts with understanding the person in front of us. We want to know what is happening, what matters to you and what you hope to achieve before recommending a direction for care.

Explain Clearly

You should understand what is being assessed, what we have found and what your options are. We use straightforward language and encourage questions so decisions can be made with informed consent.

Care Thoughtfully

Recommendations are based on your individual presentation, goals and preferences. We aim to use care purposefully and review whether what we are doing continues to make sense for you.

Work Together

Healthcare works better when communication is open. Where another practitioner could contribute to your care, we are comfortable collaborating, referring or helping you find an appropriate next step.

At EiraForma, No Two Care Plans Need to Look the Same

People arrive with different histories, goals, responsibilities, preferences and levels of activity. Their care should reflect that. Recommendations may change depending on your assessment findings, response to care and what is happening in your everyday life.

For some people, the focus may be short-term support around a particular issue. Others may be working towards a movement, work or sporting goal. Some people may need another professional involved. The aim is not to fit everyone into the same pathway, but to make decisions that remain relevant to the individual.

Your Goals

Your goals help give care direction. They might involve returning to an activity, managing the demands of work, maintaining independence, moving with greater confidence or simply understanding what options are available to you.

Your Preferences

You remain involved in decisions about your care. You can ask questions, discuss alternatives, express preferences, decline a technique or change your mind at any point.

Your Progress

We review what is changing and whether the current plan is still useful. Care can be modified, spaced differently, concluded or redirected when circumstances or clinical needs change.

Supporting Movement, Recovery and Everyday Life

Active Support

Care does not have to stop when you leave the treatment room. Where appropriate, we may discuss movement, exercise, pacing, activity modification, education or simple self-management strategies that can support the things you want to do outside the clinic.

The aim is to keep recommendations realistic. A plan that works with your actual life is generally more useful than one that only works perfectly on paper.

Hands-On Care

Hands-on chiropractic care may form part of your plan when it is appropriate to your presentation, preferences and goals. The techniques considered can vary between people, and treatment is discussed with you before proceeding.

Hands-on care is not automatically required for every person or at every appointment.

Knowing When Another Perspective Is Needed

Good clinical care also means recognising when something needs a different perspective. If your presentation suggests that further investigation, medical assessment or input from another healthcare professional may be appropriate, we will explain why and discuss the next step with you.

With your consent, this may include communication with your GP, specialist or another allied health practitioner where coordinated care would be useful. We also want to build strong relationships with trusted practitioners and services across Mandurah so that referral is straightforward when another area of expertise is needed.
